iSAMS Tools v0.1

At Cranleigh, we use iSAMS as our Management Information System. It is a great product, especially compared to the alternatives, but their feature turnaround is fairly slow.

With that in mind, one of my goals this academic year is to automate some of the work we do with iSAMS, from teachers to admin to IT manager.

For lack of a better name, I am calling the collection of modules, iSAMS Tools. The latest code is available on Github, with v0.1 downloadable here.

The 0.1 release only has one module which reminds teachers if they have forgotten to do their registers. The next two main modules are in the latest code but are not quite ready yet. They are: the ability to sync with other products such as Active Directory and a data check which will highlight any data oddities such as students in multiple sets for subjects.
